Spectators: 7343 (Terracing: 5509, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) Elliot Bammerman charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elliot Bammerman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Rydell Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Bammerman. Elliot Eriksson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Göran Söderberg. Rydell Rangers's Olof Mossberg got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Pål Hård came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Rydell Rangers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pål Hård couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the game, Olof Mossberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rydell Rangers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIK the free kick. A collision led to Rydell Rangers getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Olof Mossberg hit a great ball. If Olof Mossberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olof Mossberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elliot Eriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Elliot Eriksson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jerry Asplund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. The supporters of Rydell Rangers booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sivert Alfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olof Mossberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Rydell Rangers's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Olof Mossberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elliot Eriksson came out and tried to block the shot, but Olof Mossberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 40th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sivert Alfors made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Olof Mossberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olof Mossberg in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elliot Eriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute of the match Otto Fredriksson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elliot Eriksson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Olof Mossberg struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Elliot Eriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rydell Rangers. In the 75th match minute, Rydell Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Asplund to maneuver through the defense. AIK's Elliot Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Mossberg in the 80th minute of play. In the 87th minute Pål Hård shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliot Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Sivert Alfors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olof Mossberg came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Rydell Rangers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olof Mossberg couldn't finish the play. Pål Hård recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
