When Mats Viberg came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Storå fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mats Viberg couldn't finish the play. Christer Jönsätt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claes Östman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Gaylord.Inc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Hägg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Åke Bjurström during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stellan Isaksson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claes Östman. Gaylord.Inc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mats Viberg in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claes Östman saved Gaylord.Inc from getting behind. Christer Jönsätt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaylord.Inc's goalkeeper Claes Östman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Christer Jönsätt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 62 minutes into the match, Roland Hägg notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Storå's Emil Nyman. Emil Nyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christer Jönsätt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute.
