Sven-Erik Olofsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torsten Bergstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Erik Olofsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Torsten Bergstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Erik Olofsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Hubert Kämpe kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Vidar Lundblad scored 0-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torsten Bergstedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Skelleftehamn IFK's zone, Vidar Lundblad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Bergstedt came out of the goal and Vidar Lundblad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 minutes, Sven-Erik Olofsson made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Skelleftehamn IFK's Torsten Bergstedt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven-Erik Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Bergstedt having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Erik Olofsson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Grevie Kyrkby IF got a corner. Skelleftehamn IFK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fredrik Wenerdahl ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sven-Erik Olofsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Torsten Bergstedt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Olov Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Dan Almkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Erik Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd match minute, Skelleftehamn IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Lindqvist to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Erik Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Bergstedt having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Skelleftehamn IFK's Harald Wallmark got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Sven-Erik Olofsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vidar Lundblad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Torsten Bergstedt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidar Lundblad got free with Torsten Bergstedt in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Torsten Bergstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Erik Olofsson in the 91st minute of play. If Karl-Åke Alstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Grevie Kyrkby IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Skelleftehamn IFK throughout the match.
