Spectators: 5450 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 50) AIK's Inge Eklund started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, André Pettersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Västra Gärde FF and the AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Västra Gärde FF's André Pettersson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Västra Gärde FF's zone, Lennart Westerstrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Duset came out of the goal and Lennart Westerstrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AIK's Bengt Svensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvin Torsberg in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvin Torsberg in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Svensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute Inge Eklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Duset saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Västra Gärde FF's Linus Berggren got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Bengt Svensson came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Västra Gärde FF's Bertil Fransson. But to his dismay, Bertil Fransson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Linus Berggren hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Fransson made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Ingemarsson during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edvin Torsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AIK's zone, Edvin Torsberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Svensson came out of the goal and Edvin Torsberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Sune Apelqvist hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Leif Västerstrand sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AIK's Bengt Svensson didn't even have to move. Bengt Svensson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 64th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Västra Gärde FF's Matthias Duset played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Eklund in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Pettersson in the 77th minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Bengt Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Bertil Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Svensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Bertil Fransson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIK's Bengt Svensson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 87 minutes, Bertil Fransson made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. AIK's Bengt Svensson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertil Fransson in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Svensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Västra Gärde FF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
