When Elof Hultman fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tort Klubb's protests and gave Elof Hultman a yellow card for diving instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Alfred Stabbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wictor Biörnberg having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens-Ola Ivarsson during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jens-Ola Ivarsson hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Wictor Biörnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Salqvist in the 75th minute of the match. If Lennart Salqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vegas Grappar were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
