Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hans Söderquist took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fredric Björk was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Mats Lindblom fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vittskövle BK's protests and gave Mats Lindblom a yellow card for diving instead. Sten Stigsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simon Lindman. Vittskövle BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jesper Alrot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Lindman having to interfere. Jesper Alrot succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. 18 minutes into the match, Linköping's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Söderquist came free, but August Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredric Björk in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Lindman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th match minute, Linköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Östen Ekblom to maneuver through the defense. Fredric Björk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesper Alrot who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Simon Lindman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Fredric Björk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simon Lindman. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. In the 35th minute, Östen Ekblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Linköping's Fredric Björk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After a rather tough play, Linköping's Jörgen Forsberg got a free kick in the 40th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fredric Björk to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Vittskövle BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jesper Alrot came free, but Simon Lindman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Linköping's Jesper Alrot got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63rd play minutes Jesper Alrot shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Simon Lindman and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Fredric Björk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Lindman was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesper Alrot in the 73rd minute of play forced Vittskövle BK's goalkeeper Simon Lindman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes of play, Linköping's Jesper Alrot made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Lindman was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Vittskövle BK's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Björk came free, but Simon Lindman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åke Blomqvist was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Vittskövle BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Linköping:s goal. Sten Stigsson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Jesper Alrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vittskövle BK's zone, Jesper Alrot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Lindman came out of the goal and Jesper Alrot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Lindman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Björk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesper Alrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Simon Lindman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linköping walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
