Spectators: 7117 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 20) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Samuel Falkrantz kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, John Nord cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ola Ek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Gimo BK defense, Samuel Falkrantz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ola Ek. The Gimo BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ola Ek should have stopped the shot. John Nord hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Hubert Hellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimo BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Hellbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Samuel Falkrantz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ola Ek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Ola Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Falkrantz in the 17th minute of the match. Kenneth Åkerström made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Hubert Hellbom sent off a good shot on target. If Per-Oskar Pålsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gimo BK's Nils-Emil Bergdal got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Nord in the 31st minute of play forced Gimo BK's goalkeeper Ola Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gimo BK's zone, John Nord stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ola Ek came out of the goal and John Nord tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per-Oskar Pålsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Våmhus IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Johansson to maneuver through the defense. If Per-Oskar Pålsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hubert Hellbom made a kick off. The supporters of Våmhus IK booed when Gimo BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Bergdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Oskar Pålsson struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Kenneth Åkerström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimo BK. Hubert Hellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Kenneth Åkerström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Oskar Pålsson in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Åkerström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Hellbom in the 64th minute of play forced Våmhus IK's goalkeeper Kenneth Åkerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, John Nord managed to get in a good position for a shot. Våmhus IK's supporters rose to their feet, but John Nord was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ola Ek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 minutes, Samuel Falkrantz made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Gimo BK's Ola Ek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. John Nord recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ola Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Falkrantz in the 79th minute of play. When Per-Oskar Pålsson came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Gimo BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Oskar Pålsson couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Per-Oskar Pålsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Åkerström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ola Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Falkrantz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If John Nord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hubert Hellbom might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Åkerström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hubert Hellbom ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th minute Per-Oskar Pålsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Åkerström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
