The Tvärålund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Malcolm Wallmark should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute Östen Pihlblad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Wallmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börge Tham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Ivarsson in the 15th minute of the match. Börge Tham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Ivarsson in the 17th minute of play. Sven Svanér's late challenge caught a Tvärålund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Svanér helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Tim Sjöström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Erik Vennerberg came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Hökerum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Vennerberg couldn't finish the play. Malcolm Wallmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Örtendahl in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute Östen Pihlblad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Wallmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Vennerberg in the 40th minute of play forced Tvärålund's goalkeeper Malcolm Wallmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Östen Pihlblad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Malcolm Wallmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Valter Ivarsson made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Valter Ivarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Börge Tham. Hökerum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valter Ivarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Valter Ivarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filip Pedersson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Östen Pihlblad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hökerum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Erik Vennerberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Malcolm Wallmark read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Tvärålund booed when Hökerum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Kjellqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ludvig Biörkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Erik Vennerberg, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 96 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Malcolm Wallmark was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hökerum eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
