After 2 minutes, Sakarias Tunström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sparsörs AIK and the Dynamo Leif players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sakarias Tunström hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sparsörs AIK's zone, Bernt Magnusson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sverker Sjöström came out of the goal and Bernt Magnusson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sparsörs AIK's Sverker Sjöström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joacim Öberg in the 7th minute of play. Ragnar Kjellbom's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ted Pil firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sverker Sjöström came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Dynamo Leif's Joacim Öberg. But to his dismay, Joacim Öberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joacim Öberg in the 18th minute of play forced Sparsörs AIK's goalkeeper Sverker Sjöström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthias Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute Joacim Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Sjöström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joacim Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sverker Sjöström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sverker Sjöström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars-Erik Åkerberg in the 30th minute of the match. Joacim Öberg took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sverker Sjöström. Sverker Sjöström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sparsörs AIK's Sverker Sjöström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joacim Öberg in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Albert Bålström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sparsörs AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Bålström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Pil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Joacim Öberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sverker Sjöström was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Joacim Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Sverker Sjöström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joacim Öberg made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Sparsörs AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Öberg came free, but Sverker Sjöström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthias Melander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Sverker Sjöström made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Joacim Öberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matthias Melander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Sverker Sjöström made a huge save. If Joacim Öberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthias Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sparsörs AIK's Albert Bålström got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Pil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragnar Kjellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Dynamo Leif's Matthias Melander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sverker Sjöström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Dynamo Leif was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Rudqvist to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes, Sparsörs AIK's Valentin Valström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ted Pil came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sparsörs AIK reached it. 80 minutes into the match, Sparsörs AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Öberg came free, but Sverker Sjöström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Joacim Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Sjöström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Dynamo Leif got a freekick which was hit by Egon Rudqvist. After having played for 95 minutes, Albert Bålström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sparsörs AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Bålström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albert Bålström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ted Pil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. Dynamo Leif's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
