The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Tensta 163's Casper Täman got a free kick in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Tensta 163's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Norström came free, but Jörn Alström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Axel Åhlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Peter Norström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jörn Alström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Sandström succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. In the 17thth minute of the game Leonardo Salqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LINKÖPINGS FF's Claes Widberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elliott Larsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Elliott Larsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claes Widberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jörn Alström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Norström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Claes Widberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elliott Larsson's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Peter Norström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörn Alström having to interfere. If Peter Norström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Albin Fridlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tensta 163's zone, Peter Norström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Alström came out of the goal and Peter Norström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig Björkdal's late challenge caught a LINKÖPINGS FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig Björkdal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tensta 163 getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Stig Björkdal hit a great ball. The supporters of Tensta 163 booed when LINKÖPINGS FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Tholsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elliott Larsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörn Alström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Norström in the 89th minute of the match. Claes Widberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Salqvist in the 92nd minute. Claes Widberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Casper Täman. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
