Sune Glanselius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Håning. Ljungbyholm's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sture Odén did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised David Håning 21 minutes into the match. Filip Öman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sture Odén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. David Håning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ljungbyholm getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Per-Oskar Säfström hit a great ball. Sture Odén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Håning read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. If Sture Odén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Öman in the 35th minute of play forced Ljungbyholm's goalkeeper David Håning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip Öman in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Håning prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sture Odén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ljungbyholm's goalkeeper David Håning, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 92nd minute, Sture Odén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Skoghall FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
