The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Sture Odén came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Skoghall FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sture Odén couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the game, Sture Odén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gustav Liljeström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Skoghall FK's Filip Öman in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SkäggigDunderGud's goalie prevented a goal. Gustav Liljeström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Odén in the 12th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Sture Odén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, SkäggigDunderGud's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Öman came free, but Gustav Liljeström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Palmkvist hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Filip Öman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustav Liljeström having to interfere. Sture Odén struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Gustav Liljeström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skoghall FK. In the 28th minute Filip Öman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustav Liljeström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Sven-Edvin Persson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Odén in the 31st minute of play forced SkäggigDunderGud's goalkeeper Gustav Liljeström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes SkäggigDunderGud got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Edvin Persson. Sven-Edvin Persson hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes SkäggigDunderGud's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sune Glanselius who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Skoghall FK's Sune Glanselius to fire away a dangerous shot which Gustav Liljeström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sture Odén struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Gustav Liljeström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skoghall FK. 47 minutes into the game, Filip Öman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gustav Liljeström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filip Öman made a kick off. In the 54th minute Pelle Wennerqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pelle Wennerqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filip Öman might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustav Liljeström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Öman ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, SkäggigDunderGud's Gustav Liljeström got control of the ball when Sture Odén tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustav Liljeström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Öman in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andy Damm during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 64 minutes into the game, one of SkäggigDunderGud:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, Skoghall FK's Sune Glanselius got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gustav Liljeström. 71 minutes into the game, Sture Odén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gustav Liljeström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pelle Wennerqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sture Odén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Skoghall FK's Filip Öman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustav Liljeström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Elias Palmkvist fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skoghall FK's protests and gave Elias Palmkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Skoghall FK's Elias Palmkvist got a free kick in the 94th minute.
