Krister Hylander's late challenge caught a Östervåla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albert Möllgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Östervåla defense, Krister Hylander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernt Engström. The Östervåla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernt Engström should have stopped the shot. Östervåla's Bernt Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Bogren in the 58th minute of play. Mats Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliot Haström having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Mats Sjöberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elliot Haström. Hedared's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mats Sjöberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Albert Möllgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Hedared's Lennart Bogren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernt Engström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albert Möllgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bernt Engström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Lennart Bogren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernt Engström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 79 minutes of play, Hedared's Olov Kilman made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernt Engström was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Krister Hylander was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Krister Hylander hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 84 minutes of play Östervåla's Eric Henriksson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Hedared booed when Östervåla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lennart Bogren in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernt Engström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hedared were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Östervåla for a fine match.
