Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nicklas Liljeström made the kick off which started today's match. Johnny Mossberg made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Arman Håkansson sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the match, FC Trelleborg's goalkeeper Johnny Mossberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Åke Alefors. Birger Arhenius struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Stig-Åke Wall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Trelleborg. Stig-Åke Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Åke Alefors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Johnny Mossberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes FC Trelleborg got a freekick which was hit by Alf Sundström. After a defensive mix-up in FC Trelleborg's zone, Arman Håkansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Mossberg came out of the goal and Arman Håkansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 played minutes FC Trelleborg got a freekick which was hit by Evert Winström. In the 25th minute, Birger Arhenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stig-Åke Wall was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicklas Liljeström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Johnny Mossberg. That made the score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. Birger Arhenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Åke Wall having to interfere. If Alf Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nicklas Liljeström came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Älvdalen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicklas Liljeström couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alf Sundström made a kick off. Nicklas Liljeström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Nicklas Liljeström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Åke Alefors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Mossberg having to interfere. When Nicklas Liljeström came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Älvdalen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicklas Liljeström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicklas Liljeström in the 82nd minute of play forced FC Trelleborg's goalkeeper Johnny Mossberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Älvdalen's Stig-Åke Wall got control of the ball when Birger Arhenius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alf Sundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Åke Wall having to interfere. Alf Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Älvdalen fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Trelleborg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
