The supporters of Hornmyr IK booed when Davvas-Angels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bror Julin in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikael Åkerberg saved Hornmyr IK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Julin in the 18th minute of play forced Hornmyr IK's goalkeeper Mikael Åkerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Davvas-Angels's George Kilberg got a free kick in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egil Edström during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With his leg Viggo Ahlroht managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Hornmyr IK's Tommy Mossberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute, Claes Emander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Davvas-Angels's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tommy Mossberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 34th minute of the match Sven-Oskar Skoglund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikael Åkerberg skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Andy Flink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hornmyr IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Flink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viggo Ahlroht breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Hornmyr IK's Viggo Ahlroht threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andy Flink, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Bror Julin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Davvas-Angels's supporters rose to their feet, but Bror Julin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikael Åkerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 0-1 became the score in the 47th minute when Edward Fanström elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Andy Flink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikael Åkerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Fanström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Manfred Siöman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davvas-Angels's Edward Fanström got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mikael Åkerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Fanström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Fanström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viggo Ahlroht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Flink in the 78th minute of play. Andy Flink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Hornmyr IK's Olov Löfskog got a free kick in the 88th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Hornmyr IK's Andy Flink made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viggo Ahlroht was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bror Julin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Åkerberg having to interfere.
