The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christer Skog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Nordmark hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Elliott Sjöström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egon Asklöv. The Sledgehammers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elliott Sjöström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alvin Nyström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Sixten Stålberg made a huge save. In the 13th match minute, Stockaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joacim Kellman to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Stockaryd's zone, Mikael Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixten Stålberg came out of the goal and Mikael Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christer Skog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Asklöv having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Elliott Sjöström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stockaryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elliott Sjöström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stockaryd's Christer Skog got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Stockaryd's Sixten Stålberg got control of the ball when Alvin Nyström tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Elliott Sjöström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stockaryd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 37 minutes into the game, Stockaryd's Joacim Kellman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egon Asklöv made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Egon Asklöv stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elliott Sjöström's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christer Skog to make the kick off. Christer Skog could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Egon Asklöv made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elliott Sjöström got free with Egon Asklöv in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Christer Skog managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stockaryd's supporters rose to their feet, but Christer Skog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egon Asklöv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stockaryd reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christer Skog in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egon Asklöv prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Stockaryd's zone, Mikael Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixten Stålberg came out of the goal and Mikael Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Alvin Nyström made a precise shot to the right of Sixten Stålberg. Stockaryd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When Elliott Sjöström came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Stockaryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliott Sjöström couldn't finish the play. Elliott Sjöström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, The Sledgehammers's goalkeeper Egon Asklöv had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elliott Sjöström. Egon Asklöv made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Elliott Sjöström sent off a good shot on target. The Sledgehammers's Egon Asklöv proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save The Sledgehammers from getting a goal against them. Stockaryd's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
