When Söderfors's Oskar Svanström in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Västers IF's goalie prevented a goal. After 12 played minutes Västers IF got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Aleberg. Oskar Svanström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tommy Odén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Västers IF getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Thomas Wester hit a great ball. Björn Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Västers IF defense, Oskar Svanström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Odén. The Västers IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Odén should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oskar Svanström in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Odén saved Västers IF from getting behind. Douglas Collin kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Söderfors were awarded a corner. Kevin Löfkvist went to the cornerflag to take it. 42 minutes into the match, Söderfors's goalkeeper Isak Ekeberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Wester. In the 44th minute Oskar Svanström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Odén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Västers IF's Tommy Odén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Svanström in the 46th minute of play. The Västers IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Söderfors were winning 0-1.

Tommy Odén stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oskar Svanström's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Björn Brolin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Björn Brolin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Söderfors's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Brolin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Odén breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Västers IF's Douglas Collin got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Douglas Collin off the ground. The supporters of Söderfors booed when Västers IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Collin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Odén made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Björn Brolin sent off a good shot on target. Björn Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timmy Svanér fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Odén having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Björn Brolin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Tommy Odén was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Västers IF's Tommy Odén got control of the ball when Björn Brolin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Johannes Rudberg came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Söderfors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Rudberg couldn't finish the play. Söderfors's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
