Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sven-Åke Jansson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tommy Odén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Magnus Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Odén was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Karl-Magnus Nilsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karl-Magnus Nilsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Ralf Blomkvist came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Mårdaklevs IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Blomkvist couldn't finish the play. Västers IF's Tommy Odén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Nilsson in the 14th minute of play. Sven-Åke Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tommy Odén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Magnus Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Magnus Nilsson struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Tommy Odén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mårdaklevs IK. After having played for 25 minutes, Tommy Odén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mårdaklevs IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Odén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stefan Alberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Birger Sundström. Mårdaklevs IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Karl-Magnus Nilsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Västers IF's zone, Gustav Wiklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Odén came out of the goal and Gustav Wiklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ralf Blomkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thomas Wester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Viktor Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västers IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Axelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birger Sundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Viktor Axelsson made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Viktor Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västers IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Viktor Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Västers IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Axelsson couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Sven-Åke Jansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mårdaklevs IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 60th minute of the match Harry Lennartsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Odén showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Karl-Magnus Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Åke Jansson in the 65th minute of play forced Västers IF's goalkeeper Tommy Odén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th match minute, Mårdaklevs IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Wiklund to maneuver through the defense. When Viktor Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Västers IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Axelsson couldn't finish the play. Mårdaklevs IK's Ralf Blomkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommy Odén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Åke Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustav Wiklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Wester could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Birger Sundström made a huge save. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Västers IF's goalkeeper Tommy Odén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mårdaklevs IK had played much better football throughout.
