The audience was convinced that Nils-Åke Nordin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonny Simonsson was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Ljusterö RK's Sonny Linberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Ljusterö RK from getting a goal against them. If Ingvar Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingvar Håkansson scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny Linberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ingvar Håkansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henning Ahlroth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nils-Åke Nordin fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ljusterö RK's protests and gave Nils-Åke Nordin a yellow card for diving instead. Nils-Åke Nordin kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Ljusterö RK's goalkeeper Sonny Linberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Håkansson. Nils-Åke Nordin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Simonsson having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Jan Hedin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henning Ahlroth to make the kick off. After 58 minutes, Evert Hultstrand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Nora FC and the Ljusterö RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evert Hultstrand kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With his leg Jonny Simonsson managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Ljusterö RK's Nils-Åke Nordin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valentin Sjöman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jonny Simonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valentin Sjöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Åke Nordin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jonny Simonsson made a huge save. After 67 played minutes FK Nora FC got a freekick which was hit by Pontus Telin. Jonny Simonsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils-Åke Nordin in the 71st minute. When Valentin Sjöman came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ljusterö RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Sjöman couldn't finish the play. Henning Ahlroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Linberg having to interfere. Nils-Åke Nordin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Jonny Simonsson made a huge save. In the 83rd match minute, Ljusterö RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torbjörn Molander to maneuver through the defense. When Henning Ahlroth got free in front of the goal in the 85th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Sonny Linberg was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ingvar Håkansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ljusterö RK defense, Ingvar Håkansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sonny Linberg. The Ljusterö RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sonny Linberg should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FK Nora FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ljusterö RK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
