David Kuse might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Michael Abrahamsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Michael Abrahamsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Giöck in the 13th minute of play. Öregrund's Karl-Michael Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Giöck in the 14th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, David Kuse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diö's supporters rose to their feet, but David Kuse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Michael Abrahamsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl-Michael Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Kuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Diö booed when Öregrund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Vinström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pål Wennerquist hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Kuse in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Michael Abrahamsson saved Öregrund from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Timmy Giöck made the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game David Kuse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Öregrund's Karl-Michael Abrahamsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Giöck in the 53rd minute of play forced Öregrund's goalkeeper Karl-Michael Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Björkdahl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jörn Ryberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 1-3 became the score in the 63rd minute when Timmy Giöck elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Karl-Erik Kvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Diö got a freekick which was hit by Kent Bergqvist. After a rather tough play, Öregrund's Konrad Löfgren got a free kick in the 78th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Kuse got free with Karl-Michael Abrahamsson in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Hans Åhman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Öregrund's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Åhman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörn Ryberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Diö's zone, Thomas Björkdahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Ryberg came out of the goal and Thomas Björkdahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diö's Jörn Ryberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Åhman in the 90th minute of play. Timmy Giöck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Öregrund's Karl-Michael Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Giöck in the 94th minute of play. Diö's David Kuse got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Diö supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Diö would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
