Sven-Oskar Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Olov Andersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Nils Strömberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Örgryte IS's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Oskar Jakobsson came free, but Mark Back reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Back didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olov Andersson went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ingemar Hägglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Söderqwist in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Örjan Mattsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Joachim Söderqwist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Hägglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Örjan Mattsson came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Örgryte IS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Örjan Mattsson couldn't finish the play. Örjan Mattsson struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Ingemar Hägglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Örgryte IS.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joachim Söderqwist to strike the kick off in the second half. Sven-Oskar Jakobsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mark Back tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Örgryte IS got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Nordlund. Brunk IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Oskar Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nils Strömberg during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olov Andersson spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Örgryte IS's goal. Sven-Oskar Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Back came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Brunk IF's Sven-Oskar Jakobsson. But to his dismay, Sven-Oskar Jakobsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 82 minutes into the match, Brunk IF's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Söderqwist came free, but Ingemar Hägglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee gave Brunk IF a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sune Västerberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Örgryte IS's Mark Back. 0-3. After recieving a nice pass, Örgryte IS's Jan Skark tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Olov Andersson struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Mark Back didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brunk IF. Mark Back showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Andersson in the 98th minute of the match. Sven-Oskar Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Örgryte IS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brunk IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Brunk IF.
