The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Petter Deckberg kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The tension between the Högsäter RK and the Östra Ljungby players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Högsäter RK's Harry Strand got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Elliott Högman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Högsäter RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Östra Ljungby the free kick. After 33 played minutes Högsäter RK got a freekick which was hit by Elliott Högman. If Gunnar Bålström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunnar Bålström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sigvard Viberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Sigvard Viberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Bålström in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Högsäter RK's Harry Strand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars-Erik Biörk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Tobias Asmundsson made the kick off in the second half. Sigvard Viberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thor Holm's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 1-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Martin Eriksson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Högsäter RK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kristian Berglund hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes Östra Ljungby got a freekick which was hit by Thor Holm. Brian Stor charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Thor Holm took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Sigvard Viberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 74th minute, Gunnar Bålström fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sigvard Viberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thor Holm in the 76th minute of the match. Högsäter RK's Sigvard Viberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Holm in the 84th minute of play. When Martin Eriksson came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Högsäter RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Eriksson couldn't finish the play. Lars-Erik Biörk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Eriksson's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Tobias Asmundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Lars-Erik Biörk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Biörk having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Östra Ljungby players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Högsäter RK.
