Aleksander Falkrantz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kalle Lindholm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The FC Merkelen BoIS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 28 minutes into the game, Roger Larsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gustaf Walroth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the game, Arnäsvall's Roger Gudmundsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kalle Lindholm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Aleksander Falkrantz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Johnny Lundblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvald Hafström kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Kalle Lindholm made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Johnny Lundblad sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, FC Merkelen BoIS's Kalle Lindholm got control of the ball when Rune Westerstrand tried to sneak it across the goal line. Johnny Lundblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Lindholm having to interfere.
