An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Brolin in the 12th minute of play forced Ahuno United's goalkeeper Jesper Ivarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ahuno United getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Knut Bäckström hit a great ball. Jesper Ivarsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Penguinz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Deckberg came free, but Göran Sundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göran Sundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars-Erik Caspersson in the 36th minute of the match. When Jakob Deckberg came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ahuno United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Deckberg couldn't finish the play. Lars-Erik Caspersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isac Brolin to make the kick off.
