Hans Lindström started the match with the kick off. Felix Biörkquist hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Enskededalen IFK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Jens-Ola Ahlström scored to the left of an out of position Anders Nordin, making the score, 1-0. Börje Björck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Westerstrand having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Björck in the 18th minute of play forced Hofors IK's goalkeeper Harry Westerstrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes, Verner Lindsten made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Enskededalen IFK's Anders Nordin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ola Ahlström in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anders Nordin saved Enskededalen IFK from getting behind. Enskededalen IFK's Börje Björck got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Björck in the 33rd minute of play forced Hofors IK's goalkeeper Harry Westerstrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Börje Björck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Westerstrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Björck in the 40th minute of play. Anders Nordin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Verner Lindsten went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Börje Björck got free with Harry Westerstrand in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Verner Lindsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anders Nordin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Ola Ahlström's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ola Ahlström in the 72nd minute of play forced Enskededalen IFK's goalkeeper Anders Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Nils Hybbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anders Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verner Lindsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Thomas Viberg's late challenge caught a Hofors IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Viberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hofors IK booed when Enskededalen IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Viberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verner Lindsten took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anders Nordin. Anders Nordin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Enskededalen IFK's zone, Verner Lindsten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Nordin came out of the goal and Verner Lindsten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hans Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
