Ian Nyström kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Hofors IK's Harry Westerstrand got control of the ball when Tage Västerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tage Västerberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Westerstrand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jens-Ola Ahlström to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Verner Lindsten dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Per-Olof Uggstedt, 0-1. Hofors IK's Jens-Ola Ahlström got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dick Beckeman during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dick Beckeman hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Jens-Ola Ahlström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hofors IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Ola Ahlström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ola Ahlström in the 76th minute of play forced FORZA Benknäckers's goalkeeper Per-Olof Uggstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Erik Ekenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Ekenberg in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Westerstrand saved Hofors IK from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Hofors IK's Nils Hybbert got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Tage Västerberg struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Harry Westerstrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FORZA Benknäckers. FORZA Benknäckers's Per-Olof Uggstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ola Ahlström in the 89th minute of play. Tage Västerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Westerstrand having to interfere.
