Spectators: 6674 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 7) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kjell-Arne Myr started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Fredriksdal FK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Oskar Ambjörnsson. After a defensive mix-up in Fredriksdal FK's zone, Håkan Utfal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig-Åke Berglund came out of the goal and Håkan Utfal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yngve Melander hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Stig-Åke Berglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Utfal, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Jörn Bremming was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, one of Maria Park IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fritz Nordstedt placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Kjell-Arne Myr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig-Åke Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Lindberg in the 26th minute of the match. Bengt-Rune Lindberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bengt-Rune Lindberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stig-Åke Berglund having to make a save. Bengt-Rune Lindberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adam Sigfridsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Stig-Åke Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Maria Park IF's Adam Sigfridsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig-Åke Berglund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bengt-Rune Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Åke Berglund having to interfere. Elof Johnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Bengt-Rune Lindberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Stig-Åke Berglund made a huge save. If Bengt-Rune Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maria Park IF's Anders Lundkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Myr in the 60th minute of play. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Frank Hurtig sped through Maria Park IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anders Lundkvist. Stig-Åke Berglund was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Bengt-Rune Lindberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bengt-Rune Lindberg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Frank Hurtig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Hurtig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anders Lundkvist having to make a save. Bengt-Rune Lindberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Bengt-Rune Lindberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roger Mellberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig-Åke Berglund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Mellberg ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Maria Park IF's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Hurtig came free, but Anders Lundkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Rune Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Åke Berglund having to interfere. Elof Johnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Stig-Åke Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Lindberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Stig-Åke Berglund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 94 minutes, Adam Sigfridsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maria Park IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Sigfridsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rickard Hägert during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, one of Maria Park IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maria Park IF. Despite being the better team, Maria Park IF failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
