The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kjell Ahlgren came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Per-Erik Åkesson could save by the left post. A hard shot 8 in the game by Kjell Ahlgren from a close distance when the talented Per-Erik Åkesson managed to make a qualified save. Pitbulls's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Tollered IF's zone, Ove Vennersten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tord Bodin came out of the goal and Ove Vennersten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tim Hellkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Tollered IF booed when Pitbulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Hellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kjell Ahlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes, Reine Nyman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tollered IF and the Pitbulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tollered IF's Edgar Stenkvist got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Hannes Deckberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tord Bodin skillfully saved the ball. Kjell Ahlgren struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Per-Erik Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tollered IF. After having played for 31 minutes, Kjell Ahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tollered IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Ahlgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anders Sundling's late challenge caught a Tollered IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anders Sundling helped the player get up and apologised. Anders Sundling kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Jimmy Hägg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Bodin having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Igelström was the one to do the kick off. Axel Igelström's late challenge caught a Pitbulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Igelström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pitbulls booed when Tollered IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Igelström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Tollered IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Per-Arne Lustig hit a great ball. Ove Vennersten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jimmy Hägg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tord Bodin was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Tollered IF's Tord Bodin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Hägg in the 63rd minute of play. If Kjell Ahlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tord Bodin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ove Vennersten in the 74th minute. Tord Bodin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Hägg in the 81st minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Tollered IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pitbulls:s goal. In the 90th minute Pitbulls were awarded a corner. Hannes Deckberg went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Henrik Hybbert heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Jimmy Hägg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 played minutes, Tollered IF's Axel Igelström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Per-Erik Åkesson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tollered IF reached it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pitbulls had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
