Philip Valrot charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Valrot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Philip Valrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes Rydaholms Gubbar got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Wassenius. The supporters of Ljungaverk booed when Rydaholms Gubbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Ekgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Calle Andersson shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Rydaholms Gubbar's Fredrik Söderman to catch but Calle Andersson was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Sivert Östensson scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingvar Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Tomas Wassenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rydaholms Gubbar's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Wassenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingvar Bergqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Sivert Östensson made a precise shot to the right of Ingvar Bergqvist. Ljungaverk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ulf Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ulf Lindqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ljungaverk's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulf Lindqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredrik Söderman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calle Andersson shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The Ljungaverk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rydaholms Gubbar were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustav Magnusson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Wassenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, Ljungaverk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Arne Sillén to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rydaholms Gubbar's Mats Ekgren got a free kick in the 96th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustav Magnusson in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fredrik Söderman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rydaholms Gubbar played a much better game than Ljungaverk and deserved their victory. The Ljungaverk players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
