Magnus Sjöman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esbjörn Västberg in the 36th minute of play. Magnus Sjöman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Åström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Stephansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mathias Östman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Magnus Sjöman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Joachim Nyström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Umeå's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Svanskog the free kick. The supporters of Svanskog booed when Umeå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Svanskog's Tobias Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Nyström in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Svanskog getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mathias Östman hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Jim Stephansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Jim Stephansson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mathias Östman struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Magnus Sjöman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Svanskog. Tobias Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Umeå were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Svanskog's much stronger midfield.
