The supporters of Lerums IS booed when Stamford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Arenstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Stamford United's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Björnsson came free, but Henrik Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoffer Löfgren hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Christoffer Löfgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stamford United's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoffer Löfgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Billing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Lerums IS's zone, Christoffer Löfgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Billing came out of the goal and Christoffer Löfgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christoffer Löfgren struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Viktor Billing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stamford United. Edvard Ekegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Viktor Billing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Göran Vase scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Hagberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stamford United's Henrik Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greger Björnsson in the 38th minute of play. Viktor Billing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoffer Löfgren in the 40th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egil Bark made a kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Stamford United's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Bark came free, but Henrik Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Ove Ekeroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Billing having to interfere. Henrik Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Bark in the 68th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Göran Vase made a precise shot to the right of Henrik Hagberg. Stamford United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 77th minute Egil Bark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Stamford United's goalkeeper Henrik Hagberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greger Björnsson. 85 minutes into the match, Edvard Ekegren notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Lerums IS's Viktor Billing. Viktor Billing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Stamford United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lerums IS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
