The referee ignored Mean Machine United's protests and gave George Torstensson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Algutsrum IF booed when Mean Machine United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Torstensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Östen Thidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Björklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Algutsrum IF's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Felin came free, but Alvin Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reine Boman kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Lars-Erik Ambjörnsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Börje Hellström to make any attempt to save it. Alvin Björklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elof Berggren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Algutsrum IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mean Machine United were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Lars-Erik Ambjörnsson made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Algutsrum IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Roger Sjögren hit a great ball. But to his dismay, Kristian Felin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 67 minutes into the match, Algutsrum IF's goalkeeper Alvin Björklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristian Felin. If Wilhelm Nordin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Kristian Felin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alvin Björklund. Kristian Felin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Wilhelm Nordin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Hellström having to interfere. When the match was over Mean Machine United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Algutsrum IF throughout the match.
