The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peder Westerberg during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jens-Ola Bratt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egil Albäck in the 9th minute of the match. Degens Glada Gubbar's Henry Hellgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sören Lindgren in the 17th minute of play. Jens-Ola Bratt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars-Erik Wickander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josef Forsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Egil Albäck got free in front of the goal in the 20th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jens-Ola Bratt was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Lars-Erik Wickander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degens Glada Gubbar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Henry Hellgren was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Sören Lindgren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sören Lindgren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. A collision led to Degens Glada Gubbar getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Tom Groth hit a great ball. Agne Kjellman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Henry Hellgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Degens Glada Gubbar's Henry Hellgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Degens Glada Gubbar from getting a goal against them. Agne Kjellman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Henry Hellgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lars-Erik Wickander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jens-Ola Bratt firmly grabbed it by the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Degens Glada Gubbar's goal looked a bit too open when Sören Lindgren came free, but Henry Hellgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Egil Albäck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jens-Ola Bratt. Egil Albäck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 74th minute, Josef Forsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Sören Lindgren notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Degens Glada Gubbar's Henry Hellgren. Henry Hellgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hammarby Ultras's Peder Westerberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Peder Westerberg off the ground. A collision led to Hammarby Ultras getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Peder Westerberg hit a great ball. The supporters of Degens Glada Gubbar booed when Hammarby Ultras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sören Lindgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Egil Albäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Bratt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jörgen Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Lars-Erik Wickander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jens-Ola Bratt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars-Erik Wickander in the 91st minute. In the 94th match minute, Hammarby Ultras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Lövkvist to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
