Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emanuel Lönn started the match with the kick off. Per Pettersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernt Västberg's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After 8 played minutes Avesta got a freekick which was hit by Georg Holmgren. Avesta's Egil Trillkott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Lönn in the 9th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Karl-Axel Sjöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernt Västberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Uppsala's Karl-Ove Giöck got a free kick in the 20th minute. Henning Tönnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Emanuel Lönn struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Egil Trillkott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uppsala. Bengt-Rune Beckström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Trillkott having to interfere. The supporters of Uppsala booed when Avesta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bengt-Rune Beckström came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Uppsala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Rune Beckström couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Lönn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Andreas Aleberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Per Pettersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andreas Aleberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per Pettersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Uppsala's goalkeeper Per Pettersson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Aleberg.

The wind increased when Andreas Aleberg made the kick off in the second half. If Andreas Aleberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petter Alfors's late challenge caught a Avesta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petter Alfors helped the player get up and apologised. Petter Alfors kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Andreas Aleberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Aleberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Per Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Uppsala's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Aleberg came free, but Per Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Aleberg in the 76th minute of the match. Emanuel Lönn was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Uppsala getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Karl-Ove Giöck hit a great ball. A collision led to Avesta getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Andreas Aleberg hit a great ball. In the 86th minute of the match Harry Jonasson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per Pettersson skillfully saved the ball. Andreas Aleberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Avesta's Harry Jonasson got a free kick in the 95th minute. 97 minutes in the game Petter Alfors after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Egil Trillkott. A very good opportunity. Uppsala succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Avesta had controlled the match.
