Lycke IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Klementsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Jan-Åke Mikaelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Klementsson to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Lycke IF's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Klementsson came free, but Kent Ekberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kent Ekberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Klementsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Täfteå IK's Olle Lindqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lycke IF's Jörn Hybbert got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Jörn Hybbert off the ground. The supporters of Täfteå IK booed when Lycke IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Hybbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Täfteå IK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
