The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Gästrike-hammarby's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Kleen came free, but Dennis Gullesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kragsta Saint-Germain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gästrike-hammarby the free kick. After 9 played minutes Kragsta Saint-Germain got a freekick which was hit by Kalle Mellin. After a rather tough play, Gästrike-hammarby's Evert Kjellqvist got a free kick in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert Kjellqvist got free with Jan Höijer in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Gästrike-hammarby's zone, Christoffer Kleen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Gullesson came out of the goal and Christoffer Kleen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 minutes, Reine Hökkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kragsta Saint-Germain and the Gästrike-hammarby players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kragsta Saint-Germain's Reine Hökkvist got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Gabriel Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gästrike-hammarby's Gustav Palmkvist got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Kragsta Saint-Germain's Kaj Glad tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Gästrike-hammarby's Evert Kjellqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Höijer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sven-Arne Nordstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jan Höijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niclas Bäcklin's late challenge caught a Gästrike-hammarby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niclas Bäcklin helped the player get up and apologised. If Sven-Arne Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Höijer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Kjellqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Höijer came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Gästrike-hammarby's Sven-Arne Nordstedt. But to his dismay, Sven-Arne Nordstedt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 82 played minutes Kragsta Saint-Germain got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Kielberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Arne Nordstedt in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Höijer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christoffer Kleen's late challenge caught a Gästrike-hammarby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christoffer Kleen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Kragsta Saint-Germain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffer Kleen to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kragsta Saint-Germain getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Wictor Rosén hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Harry Svanström sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kragsta Saint-Germain's Jan Höijer didn't even have to move. Kragsta Saint-Germain's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
