Rickard Käller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Gullesson having to interfere. In the 6th minute Jan Telin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Gullesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Klementsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Arne Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Rönnäng IF got a freekick which was hit by Linus Kihlman. If Sven-Arne Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ludwig Eskilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Gästrike-hammarby's goalkeeper Dennis Gullesson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludwig Eskilsson. Ludwig Eskilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Telin in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Gullesson saved Gästrike-hammarby from getting behind. Dennis Gullesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Telin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Dan Klementsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Kjellqvist in the 39th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Telin to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludwig Eskilsson in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Gullesson saved Gästrike-hammarby from getting behind. Dennis Gullesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig Eskilsson in the 53rd minute of play. After 66 played minutes Gästrike-hammarby got a freekick which was hit by Nicklas Dahlberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jan Telin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rönnäng IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Telin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Gullesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st match minute, Gästrike-hammarby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Malmgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 76thth minute of the game Jan Telin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gästrike-hammarby's Dennis Gullesson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Linus Kihlman's late challenge caught a Gästrike-hammarby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Linus Kihlman helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Rönnäng IF got a freekick which was hit by Linus Kihlman. Jan Telin hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rönnäng IF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jan Telin hit a great ball. Rönnäng IF's Dan Klementsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Arne Nordstedt in the 84th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Sven-Arne Nordstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Sven-Arne Nordstedt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Evert Kjellqvist struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dan Klementsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gästrike-hammarby. Rönnäng IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
