After 4 minutes, Richard Stenqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peking Animals and the Filipstad IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Peking Animals's Richard Stenqvist got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Jesper Trulsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rickard Svensson. The goal made the score 1-0. Rickard Svensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesper Trulsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Filipstad IF's Jesper Trulsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rickard Svensson. Rickard Svensson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Rickard Svensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesper Trulsson in the 18th minute of the match. Folke Persson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Svensson having to interfere. Jesper Trulsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Thomas Bergendahl notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Peking Animals's Rickard Svensson. Rickard Svensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tor Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Vilhelm Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Thomas Bergendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Thomas Bergendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Svensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peking Animals getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Stig-Åke Tomasson hit a great ball. When Filipstad IF's Jesper Trulsson in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peking Animals's goalie prevented a goal. Rickard Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Trulsson in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jesper Trulsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Filipstad IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesper Trulsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rickard Svensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenny Kullander was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Kent Borre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Filipstad IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Borre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kent Borre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Svensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Borre in the 65th minute of the match. Kenny Kullander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vilhelm Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenny Kullander struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Vilhelm Lind didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peking Animals. In the 71st minute, Bengt-Arne Bergqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peking Animals's Rickard Svensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesper Trulsson in the 74th minute of play. Kent Borre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rickard Svensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesper Trulsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Svensson having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Filipstad IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
