Jan-Olof Petersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Stenfors BK's Sixten Dalberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Sandström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens-Åke Mårtensson during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan-Olof Petersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nybro. In the 46th minute Niklas Askstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Olof Petersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Per-Oskar Torstensson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Pål Jakobsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stenfors BK's Jan-Olof Petersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sebastian Eklund fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stenfors BK's protests and gave Sebastian Eklund a yellow card for diving instead.
