The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hedesunda's Jonathan Hellström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Hedesunda from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Hedesunda booed when Emmaboda BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Käcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Ingvar Ekman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Emmaboda BF's Rune Samuelsson. Rune Samuelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rune Samuelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niclas Clementsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Hellström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isac Åström's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Åström in the 22nd minute of play forced Hedesunda's goalkeeper Jonathan Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Emmaboda BF booed when Hedesunda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Vallin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Emmaboda BF were awarded a corner. Mark Käcker went to the cornerflag to take it. Emmaboda BF's Mark Käcker was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Hellström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Niclas Clementsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Samuelsson having to interfere. Niclas Clementsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rune Samuelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niclas Clementsson struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Rune Samuelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hedesunda. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niclas Clementsson was the one to do the kick off. Ingvar Ekman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rune Samuelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Ingvar Ekman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Emmaboda BF's Erik Thorsberg got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Isac Åström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Hellström was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. If Niclas Clementsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Emmaboda BF's goalkeeper Rune Samuelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Ekman. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ingvar Ekman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hedesunda's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Ekman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Samuelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Emmaboda BF's Rune Samuelsson got control of the ball when Ingvar Ekman tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Erik Sjöman during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joakim Ahlerot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hedesunda had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
