Björn Alfors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Beckman in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Roger Ekelund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forsa FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Ekelund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albin Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Brander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Söderberg having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Olof Kjellkvist made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Sven-Olof Kjellkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Björn Alfors was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Björn Alfors dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 83 minutes into the match, Forsa FF's Sven-Olof Kjellkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Björn Alfors narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Sven-Olof Kjellkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Fotboll players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Forsa FF.
