Erland Brummer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ove Dalström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's Dennis Månsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fredrik Lindqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Börje Rudkvist during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, one of Jonsereds IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jonsereds IF. When the match had been going on for 88 minutes, Rönninge's Jörgen Rydelius got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ove Dalström. If Erland Brummer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Jonsereds IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erland Brummer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
