Emanuel Helberg struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Samuel Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stenrosen. Samuel Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Helberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Eddie Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Samuel Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klas Tidén in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olov Forsell saved Stenrosen from getting behind. After 20 played minutes Stenrosen got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Sandberg. In the 22nd minute Klas Tidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Forsell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Pihlgren was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Stenrosen's Eric Pihlgren got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattias Stolpe got free with Olov Forsell in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olov Forsell was a little too slow when Rune Bruhn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-0. Samuel Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Lindholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mattias Stolpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Forsell having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sixten Dahlbom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Destillators BK's zone, Eddie Sandberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Olsson came out of the goal and Eddie Sandberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eddie Sandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Olsson having to make a save. In the 57th minute, Bengt-Åke Stenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Stolpe in the 60th minute of play forced Stenrosen's goalkeeper Olov Forsell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattias Stolpe took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Forsell. Olov Forsell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Olov Forsell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mattias Stolpe went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Sixten Dahlbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olov Forsell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klas Tidén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Mattias Stolpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Forsell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Eddie Sandberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Stolpe in the 85th minute of play forced Stenrosen's goalkeeper Olov Forsell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bengt-Åke Stenberg fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stenrosen's protests and gave Bengt-Åke Stenberg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Stenrosen getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bengt-Åke Stenberg hit a great ball. Olov Forsell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Dahlbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute of the match Stenrosen got a corner. Destillators BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eddie Sandberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Stenrosen's Eddie Sandberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Samuel Olsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
