But to his dismay, Viggo Nordström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, Jens-Ove Vennersten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ed's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hyppeln IF the free kick. In the 12th minute, Jens-Ove Vennersten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albin Alegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viggo Nordström in the 20th minute of play. Fred Magnusson hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Niclas Zander's late challenge caught a Ed's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niclas Zander helped the player get up and apologised. Niclas Zander kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Hyppeln IF's Albin Alegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viggo Nordström in the 30th minute of play. Albin Alegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Heggert in the 44th minute of the match. Albin Alegren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viggo Nordström's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viggo Nordström made a kick off. Jan-Olof Stabbe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredrik Eliasson's late challenge caught a Ed's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrik Eliasson helped the player get up and apologised. When Viggo Nordström came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ed fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viggo Nordström couldn't finish the play. Tage Möllgren hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute Viggo Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albin Alegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albin Alegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viggo Nordström in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Viggo Nordström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albin Alegren was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Viggo Nordström fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Albin Alegren, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tage Möllgren during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ed's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
