Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arne Sellberg started the match with the kick off. Walter Björk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Dan Vinström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Vinström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bo Kristiansson in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Fred Asklöv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gösta Bergsten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Karlsborg BK's zone, Bo Kristiansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Vinström came out of the goal and Bo Kristiansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Ljungberg in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Vinström saved Karlsborg BK from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Jarl Blomqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lars-Erik Bengtsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arne Sellberg in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gösta Bergsten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 21 minutes, Fred Asklöv managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karlsborg BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Asklöv was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dan Vinström was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alvin Sefastsson. Gösta Bergsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Sellberg in the 26th minute of the match. When Robert Ahlberg fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlsborg BK's protests and gave Robert Ahlberg a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Ahlberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Walter Björk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Såtenäs's Walter Björk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dan Vinström. Dan Vinström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walter Björk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Såtenäs's Gösta Bergsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Sellberg in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Albin Jönsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karlsborg BK and the Såtenäs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albin Jönsson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Christer Ljungberg didn't quite understand what happened when in the 60 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Walter Björk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Vinström having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Såtenäs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arne Sellberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Karlsborg BK's Dan Vinström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Björk in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bo Kristiansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Vinström was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Dan Vinström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Björk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Björk in the 78th minute of play forced Karlsborg BK's goalkeeper Dan Vinström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kåre Alén during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arne Sellberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Walter Björk notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Karlsborg BK's Dan Vinström. Dan Vinström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Såtenäs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
