The supporters of Överturingen booed when Pirres Soldiers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Törnblom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ove Sandberg struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Karl-Magnus Sander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirres Soldiers. In the 16th minute, Överturingen's Alf Kullgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 19th minute, Ove Sandberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Magnus Sander was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvar Nordström got free with Leo Lundgren in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the game, Svante Smefeldt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Överturingen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirres Soldiers the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Överturingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svante Smefeldt to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Överturingen's zone, Bertil Vennersten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Magnus Sander came out of the goal and Bertil Vennersten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Överturingen's Alf Kullgren got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Överturingen's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Arne Andersson came free, but Karl-Magnus Sander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Pirres Soldiers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Forss to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Överturingen's Alf Kullgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. When Pirres Soldiers's Bertil Vennersten in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pirres Soldiers's Leo Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Isaksson in the 38th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Stig-Arne Andersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Smefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Karl-Magnus Sander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Arne Isaksson in the 54th minute of play forced Pirres Soldiers's goalkeeper Leo Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th match minute, Pirres Soldiers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Törnblom to maneuver through the defense. Överturingen's Karl-Magnus Sander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Vennersten in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Överturingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Walmarsson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Pirres Soldiers's Vincent Forss got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Kullgren in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leo Lundgren saved Pirres Soldiers from getting behind. In the 74th minute Alf Kullgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Magnus Sander having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Stig-Arne Andersson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pirres Soldiers's Leo Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Kullgren in the 91st minute of play. Karl-Magnus Sander made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Ove Sandberg sent off a good shot on target. Svante Smefeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
