The audience was convinced that Tor Bergdal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jon Borre was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Jon Borre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Christoffersson in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Tor Bergdal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magmusklerna's supporters rose to their feet, but Tor Bergdal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Borre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erik Myr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximilian Eriksson in the 28th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gnosjö BF's Jimmie Kilström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Myr. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Bergdal in the 33rd minute of play forced Gnosjö BF's goalkeeper Jon Borre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tor Bergdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Stig-Åke Eliasson fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gnosjö BF's protests and gave Stig-Åke Eliasson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Magmusklerna booed when Gnosjö BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magmusklerna's Erik Myr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmie Kilström in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Magmusklerna's Felix Bålström seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felix Bålström the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Magmusklerna protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felix Bålström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 59 minutes into the game, one of Magmusklerna:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Gnosjö BF a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vidar Lindqvist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Magmusklerna's Erik Myr. 2-0. In the 65th minute, Jimmie Kilström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Myr was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tor Bergdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Borre having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Tor Bergdal could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Jon Borre however easily saved by the left post. 73 minutes into the match, Gnosjö BF's goalkeeper Jon Borre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tor Bergdal. In the 75th minute Jimmie Kilström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Myr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Magmusklerna booed when Gnosjö BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tor Bergdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jon Borre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 84 in the game by Tor Bergdal from a close distance when the talented Jon Borre managed to make a qualified save. Gnosjö BF's players were relieved. If Fritz Engman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Tor Bergdal could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Jon Borre however easily saved by the left post. Many of Magmusklerna's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Magmusklerna may have spent more time on the ball, but Gnosjö BF were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
