Ian Petersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Snäll in the 12th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Isak Alebom took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ian Petersson to make any attempt to save it. After 19th play minutes Sten Lövskog shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Svante Falkrans and just under the crossbar into goal. Svante Falkrans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Ström, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the Djurgårdens IF defense, Sten Lövskog kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Svante Falkrans. The Djurgårdens IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Svante Falkrans should have stopped the shot. If Jörgen Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urban Salqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ian Petersson made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Lövskog came free, but Svante Falkrans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Petersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Snäll in the 43rd minute of play. Ian Petersson made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Urban Salqvist sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute Isak Alebom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Petersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After a rather tough play, Djurgårdens IF's Sten Arvidsson got a free kick in the 51st minute. Svante Falkrans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Lövskog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Svante Falkrans acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carl Svensson. Sten Lövskog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Falkrans having to interfere. Jörgen Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isak Alebom in the 77th minute of play forced Klitor IS's goalkeeper Ian Petersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
