An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Malmberg in the 15th minute of play forced FF Comeback's goalkeeper Boris Qvalfeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FF Comeback's Patric Öberg got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Daniel Wallman fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malmö Idrottsklubb's protests and gave Daniel Wallman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute of the match Tomas Bergren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but August Bergdal skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Börje Markusson to make the kick off. FF Comeback's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
