Rudolf Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertil Hedvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Aledals IK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Lennart Åkesson scored to the left of an out of position Bertil Hedvall, making the score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Lennart Åkesson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Hedvall was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Rudolf Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Smögen BF's Lennart Åkesson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bertil Hedvall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Rudolf Ekström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bertil Hedvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lennart Åkesson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Rudolf Ekström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aledals IK's zone, Lennart Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Hedvall came out of the goal and Lennart Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Allan Wennerlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bertil Hedvall having to make a save. Rudolf Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvald Karlstedt during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osvald Karlstedt hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Smögen BF's Rudolf Ekström got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 71 in the game by Orvar Vollander from a close distance when the talented Daniel Ekeberg managed to make a qualified save. Smögen BF's players were relieved. After 73 played minutes Smögen BF got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Gustavsson. Daniel Ekeberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Stig-Arne Henriksson. Lennart Åkesson took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertil Hedvall. Bertil Hedvall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Orvar Vollander in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Ekeberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rudolf Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute Lennart Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Hedvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Ekeberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Vestlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bertil Hedvall came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Smögen BF's Rudolf Ekström. But to his dismay, Rudolf Ekström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Smögen BF fully deserved thier win.
